Multidisciplinary partnerships: can they work?

Article Abstract:

More and more lawyers and accountants in Canada are thinking about forging multidisciplinary partnerships to deliver a wide variety of professional services. This despite the lukewarm response of governing bodies, which view the idea of multidisciplinary partnerships as a threat to the legal profession's ethical standards and the traditional independence of the bar. The main argument for establishing multidisciplinary partnerships is that services offered by accountants and lawyers to their clients will become more efficient and cost effective.
