Article Abstract:

Data Links Solutions, Wayne, N.J., is being awarded a $29,679,510 modification to previously awarded contract N00039-96-C-0038 to exercise an option for the U.S. Air Force Multifunctional Information Distribution System - Fighter Data Link (MIDS-FDL) program. This option exercise is for the production of forty-six MIDS-FDL pilot production terminals, four each MIDS-FDL production spares terminals and MIDS-FDL pilot production warranty. The terminals will provide Air Force F-15 aircraft with Link 16 capable terminals that are secure and provide navigation and identification capabilities. Work will be performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (50%) and Wayne, N.J. (50%), and is expected to be completed in January 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Article Abstract:

Lockheed Martin Corp., Electronics and Missiles Systems, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $53,080,196 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-95-C-0251 for the FY 99 requirement to procure 26 low altitude navigation and targeting infrared for night (LANTIRN) systems for the F-14 aircraft. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed in September 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
