Article Abstract:

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Corp, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded an $85,555,134 cost-plus-award-fee, level of effort services contract to provide for the continued maintenance and enhancement of the operational effectiveness of the AV-8B weapons for the U.S. Marine Corps, and for the integration of the advanced medium range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM) for the governments of Spain and Italy. This contract will provide an estimated level of effort of 784,891 man-hours of effort. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed by December 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Div., China Lake, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68936-99-C-0022).

Article Abstract:

Q.E.D. Systems, Inc., Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded a $31,496,693 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for engineering, technical and logistics support for hull, mechanical and electrical ship systems alterations. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. (60%), Virginia Beach, Va. (15%), Mayport, Fla. (15%), and other locations in the United States (10%), and is expected to be completed by July 2004. Contract funds in the amount of $316,663 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by mailing 110 solicitations with four proposals received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia Purchase Branch, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N65540-99-D-0024).
