Article Abstract:

Engineered Systems, Aston, Pa., is being awarded a $9,961,168 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the research and development of the Marine Corps expeditionary arresting gear system. Work will be performed in Aston, Pa. (56%), Thorofare, N.J. (32%), and Lakehurst, N.J. (12%), and is expected to be completed in March 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 24 proposals solicited and four offers received representing teaming arrangements from nine companies. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-98-C-0225).

Pioneer UAV Inc., Hunt Valley, Md., is being awarded a $10,134,175 firm-fixed-price ceiling amount contract to procure FY 98 spare parts for the Pioneer unmanned aerial vehicle system. Work will be performed in Hunt Valley, Md., and is expected to be completed in January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0010).
