Article Abstract:

Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc., Cambridge, Mass., is being awarded an $8,317,580 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for systems support for the deep submergence systems program. The systems support includes engineering services, maintenance and repair, ship alterations, and materials for the deep submergence rescue vehicles, deep submergence vehicles and submarine NR-1. Work will be performed in Cambridge, Mass. (90%), and San Diego, Calif., (10%), and is expected to be completed by October 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $6,404,537 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-99-C-6213).

Article Abstract:

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $23,222,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-95-C-2101 to exercise an option for major alteration installation support. This will provide design agent services in support of on-site backfit installation of approved design changes on OHIO class submarines. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
