Net shoulder joint moment and muscular activity during light weight-handlingat different displacements and frequencies

Article Abstract:

Inverse dynamics muscularresearch shows that vertical displacement conditions allow for greater shoulderloads than horizontal ones. The study considered net shoulder joint movements from cinematographical data and their effects on the muscular activity of six shoulder muscles. It is shown that working frequency did not significantly affect muscular activity. Data from linear envelope electromyography was used for the study.

Kinematics of head-trunk movements while entering and exiting a car

Article Abstract:

A study of free and natural accessibility movements for a medium-sized car is carried out by recording motor performances of ten participants by means of a motion analysis system. The study shows that tall participants used a neck flexion and a leftwards bending of the head while short participants extended the neck and bent the head to the right while entering in the car.

The effect of overhead drilling position on shoulder moment and electromyography

Article Abstract:

Research suggests workers performing overhead tasks should work as close to their bodies as possible to minimize physiological stress on their shoulder joints. This was determined with subjects simulating overhead drilling in varied positions and examination with electromyography.
