TAC spells transparancy in action

Article Abstract:

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales bases its responses on accounting and auditing issues largely on the views of its Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). TAC was established in 1942 as the Taxation and Financial Relations Committee to provide qualified business people who were non-Council members opportunities to share their views on matters relating to taxation and finance. Currently, the primary task of TAC is to review exposure drafts coming from the Acounting Practices Board and the Accounting Standards Board, as well as documents generated by various Institute facilities. The Committee is composed of two representatives from each of the Institute's 22 district societies and five Council members.
