New power, real power through behavior change

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted on several companies that experienced extremely large declines in profits a decade after Rosabeth Moss Kanter predicted their potential of managing organizational change. Alvin Toffler's prediction of simplicity, clarity and integration as the key to successful knowledge management was also used in the analysis. Several senior executives representing 70 companies participated in the study. Results showed that around a third of the 70 firms used some common knowledge management practices to establish a new form of organizational power.
