Different tips for making New Year resolutions to achieve business objectives, namely, expansion of the practice, winning new clients and increasing revenues, are presented. The need for criteria such as fire-fighting, proper utilization of employees' productive time, setting of priorities, proper delegation of authority and responsibility are highlighted.

Article Abstract:

The ways in which different accounting firms mark the jolly season with clients and staff are described. There seems to be an across-the-board moving away from Christmas cards to clients to e-mail greetings and the money saved goes to charity while staff generally indulge in low-key celebrations usually department centered.
