No more hide and seek - part 2

Article Abstract:

Search engines constitute the Internet's version of the library card catalog and direct users to the sites, news groups, reports and publications that are relevant for their purposes. However, many search engines proffer more than just the ability to conduct a search, and provide, frequently for free, other services such as news, e-mail, discussion areas. Selecting the appropriate search engine for one's research objectives may be facilitated by knowing the differences between the categories of indexing, hierarchical categorizing, meta searching or natural language.
