Advanced Power Components: power to shock

Article Abstract:

Advanced Power Components has issued a profit warning three months following a flotation in Nov 1996. The directors repaid personal loans to Advanced Power Components and spent some 500,000 pounds sterling on expenses for the flotation, with 2.8 million pounds of 4.9 million pounds left for the company. The company faces a drop in orders for ISDN components though sales could rise in 1998. ISDN could be replaced by other technology which would hit Advanced Power Components.
