The letter and the law

Article Abstract:

The rising incidence of commercial font copying underscores the need for a law that will provide typeface designs with copyright protection. The implementation of such a law will protect companies against font piracy and prevent costly and time consuming legal complications that may arise from the unauthorized use of fonts, such as the case of Swfte International, a software company which released trademarked typefaces without the authorization of their creators.
