Of good will & good works: CAs with the gift of giving

Article Abstract:

Many chartered accountants find fulfillment in performing volunteer work and helping other people. Doug Jennings and Beth Clelland are both involved in a program that pairs them with young people, to whom they will serve as big brother and big sister. Similarly, Grant and Barbara Dickinson have acted as foster parents to 15 children since 1978, out of a desire to give poor children the opportunity to experience a stable home life. Betty Wong, on the other hand, spends some of her time as a volunteer English language teacher to elderly Chinese immigrants. David and Heidi Ross, meanwhile, do volunteer work as church service interpreters for hearing impaired parishioners.
