Article Abstract:

An increasing number of Canadian accounting companies have been seriously engaging in multidisciplinary partnerships (MDP) with law firms, as both sectors seek alternative ways to improve their businesses. Although MDP offers wide ranging marketing opportunities to accounting firms and provide expanded customer base to law companies, it has its inherent weaknesses. MDP may pose varying management conflicts, create differences in handling contracts and present complexities in organizational structure.
