Price Waterhouse has been addressing the issue of workplace diversity since 1986. This commitment to diversity management began was initially fuelled by its interest in women, family and lifestyle issues. Because of its women's initiatives, it was the only professional accounting firm to be included in Tema Frank's book, 'Canada's Best Employers for Women.' However, Price Waterhouse equally supports the career development of men and women in the organization. This is the goal of its diversity program called Excellence from the Development, Growth and Expertise or EDGE.
