Online research costs about half that of traditional methods

Article Abstract:

More and more businesses are shifting to the Internet and the World Wide Web in making quantitative and qualitative studies for clients. Although these new technologies can greatly reduce the cycle times of projects and vastly lessen the cost of doing research, problems of projectability and sample integrity crop up. However, observers predict that a projectable sample will soon be available online as more and more people begin subscribing to the Net. Many research firms have answered the call of the times by forming alliances with online services to conduct more accurate research.

Article Abstract:

Setting up a site on the World Wide Web may be a viable business move but the process itself can be tricky, difficult and relatively expensive. Believing that money injected into the site is an investment, Sprint spent between $250,000 and $500,000 to build its own site. The investment has paid off as the number of visitors to the Sprint site has gone beyond what the company expected.
