Pegasus Senior

Article Abstract:

The 550 pounds sterling single-user accounting software package Pegasus Senior is appropriate for small companies that have just computerized. It is easy to use and permits future expansion. It is offered in both single and multiuser- network variants whose basic data structures are the same. A network version involves only the purchase of extra software, and costs 750 pounds per module. Control and security features are somewhat less than desirable, however. The modules in the original version of Pegasus include accounting, sales, invoicing, purchases, payroll, stock control, bill of materials, nominal ledger, and job costing. The new variant, Senior, is an upgraded product containing new features. A test-run on the single-user Pegagus Senior system on a Compaq portable III with 640k RAM and a 40 megabyte hard disc leaves a generally positive impression.
