Plunkett + Kuhr is a design firm, whose works resemble traditional notions of design. The principals of this San Francisco- and Park City-based firm, John Plunkett and Barbara Kuhr, also design the magazine, Wired, and the Web site, Hotwired. Plunkett and Kuhr are trained in the corporate New York environments of Pentagram and Chermayeff & Geismar, respectively. They seek to challenge the traditional linear presentations of print and understand the pivotal role of the audience in the process.

Joshua Davis, an Internet designer, has emerged in his work for the Web design firm Kioken and his personal sites, which include dreamless.org, a message board for the design community, and the open source Flash laboratory praystation.com.
