Powerful marketing starts with model; today's software lets even non-techies drum up sophisticated plans

Article Abstract:

The advent of market modeling software enables marketers to develop effective marketing plans. The latest decision modeling software are less expensive and work faster than earlier versions, and can be used even by marketers with no extensive training. With the options that they provide, marketing teams can focus on core competencies and not have to deal with organizational politics when making decisions. Many highly competitive industries have been using modeling software, such as the airline industry for its ticket pricing and the catalog industry for developing product lines.

Web development costs are like any other: negotiable

Article Abstract:

World Wide Web site development costs may be high but they are negotiable. Web developers do not engage in horse trading to lower prices, rather they get concessions by developing long-time relationships with clients. They also engage in discounts based on volume which becomes possible when developers share assets through the Internet, intranet, extranet and CD-ROM programs. Firms also give discounts when large business intranet and electronic commerce projects are awarded to them.
