Probabilistic model of the human protein-protein interaction network

Article Abstract:

A study demonstrates a probabilistic analysis integrating model that provides a comprehensive framework for exploring the human protein interaction network. The accuracy of the predictive model is validated on an independent test of known interactions and two predicted interactions relevant to human cancer are experimentally confirmed, implicating uncharacterized proteins into definitive pathways.

The HUPO PSI's molecular interaction format-a community standard for the representation of protein interaction data

Article Abstract:

Description of the protein interaction network underlying cell physiology is a major goal of proteomics. A community standard data model is proposed for the representation and exchange of protein interaction data and members of Proteomics Standards Initiative (PSI), a work group of the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO) and others, have jointly developed this model.
