Qualifying for head of household status is getting harder

Article Abstract:

Taxpayers who are heads of households get a favorable tax treatment. They pay less taxes than single taxpayers and married couples who file separately. Taxpayers, however, must meet certain requirements to qualify for head of household status. To avail of head of household rates, taxpayers cannot be not be married or a be surviving spouse. They must also maintain a home that is the principal place of abode for their dependents, such as children and parents, for the whole or half of the tax year.

Getting it done properly: the role of the co-ordinator in multi-country research

Article Abstract:

Marketing research coordinators act both as research buyers and suppliers. Performing the role of project managers, coordinators deal with a host of problems associated with cultural diversity, language, consumer market sampling, fieldwork organization and data preparation and entry. Currently, the demand for coordinators for multi-country projects is strong and growing in the UK. Shortage of such experienced professionals may become a real problem in the immediate future.

Global franchising: current status and future challenges

Article Abstract:

Archival and survey data from 40 countries are used to assess international franchising. Although growth predictions have been met or exceeded, regional differences exist. The retail and restaurant industries were found to experience the highest level of franchising growth. Other findings are also discussed.
