RM is a UK company involved in computer services and educational software. The company is a major supplier to UK educational establishments and should benefit from an expansion in the use of computers in colleges and schools. The company does not use agents but sells direct and uses a Windows format for its products. RM has launched an Internet service and has set up an alliance with TeleWest, a cable company. RM shares are recommended for investors in Dec 1995.

Voss on earth is going on?

Voss Net was subject of a bid from Petra Corp in Mar 1996 but this failed to materialize. Petra also signed an agreement to market Voss Net's electronic trading system, but is in default. Voss Net has increased its turnover and cut its losses to 134,000 pounds sterling from 321,000 pounds in 1st half 1996. The market for Internet services is crowded but the company's healthcare pilot, Got Voss, has been successful and the next stage is being studied.
