The company may have problems in achieving profit forecasts for 1996, and this could halt the rise in its share price. Raw material costs are increasing, as is price competition, and consumer demand is flat. Stoves is seeking to increase prices by between 4%and 5% and aims to expand into the market for electric cookers, but the company's share price still does not appear sustainable in Mar 1996.
