The company suffered a drop in its stock price after a suggestion that there was a slowdown indemand for Instinet, and online trading service. Investec Henderson Crosthwaite rates the company's stocks a strong buy, and Westlb Panmure rates them a buy, while Charterhouse Securities rates them an add.

E-primefinancial is a company that was floated on the Alternative Investment Market in Dec 1999. The company aims to enter the internet banking market but its prospectus does not clearly explain the type of internet banking that it aims to get involved in. It is not clear whether the comapny will set up its own bank, acquire a bank, or invest in another bank, and further funds are likely to be needed. The directors have issued themselves stocks at a quarter of the price for the public subscription, and also have salaries totalling 344,000 annually.
