Robins test should light the way to faster, cheaper power source

Article Abstract:

Robins Air Force Base has undertaken a pilot program, Common Core Power Production Program (C2P2) that would help the US Air Force mature advanced power sources like fuel cells so that they can be integrated into military base deployments. Robins with 10 five-kilowatt fuel cells enables advanced power technologies to provide lighter, more capable power sources to speed deployments, cut burdens on individual service members and provide the warfighter increased capabilities.

Toolkit to make small round robots more adaptable

Article Abstract:

A Pittsburgh-based firm, RE2 Inc., is developing a hardware and software in the form of a toolkit enabling small unmanned ground vehicles (SUGVs) to be more practical and versatile. The SUGVs robots are of immense help to the US Army as they save the life of the troops undertaking various missions like surveillance and disposal of bombs or for drilling or digging.

China-Taiwan standoff needs study, analysts say

Analysts state that the U.S. policy makers need to better their understanding in several areas if they are to prepare adequately for possible Chinese military action against Taiwan in the coming years. However, Taiwan should also do more to prepare itself for possible aggression from the Chinese mainland.
