Scenes of jubilation

Article Abstract:

The Docklands area of London, England, is linked by transporation, but there are different segments within the Docklands which are affected by different demand factors. Canary Wharf is seen as a benchmark and will benefit from the opening of the Jubilee subway line. Speculative development has occurred which shows that this scheme is buoyant, as are neighbouring schemes at South Quay, which is linked to Canary Wharf by a footbridge. Other projects in Docklands are also attracting interest.

Rooms with a view by the riverside

Article Abstract:

The Canary Wharf development in the Docklands area of London has tended to focus on retail and office projects, but this will change with the Riverside Scheme. Canary Wharf Ltd, Hotel Properties and Pidemco Land are involved in the scheme which includes luxury apartments, a hotel and a health and fitness club. There are also likely to be cafes and restaurants on the river frontage. Both Pidemco and Hotel Properties are companies from Singapore.

Tenants are happy with good ship Docklands

Article Abstract:

Tenants of the Docklands area of London, England, benefit from lower rents and more efficient usage of space. Canary Wharf is the prime location in Docklands and cheap space can be found at locations such as East India Dock and South Quay. Planning constraints are less restrictive in Docklands which is one factor allowing efficient usage of space. The buildings also offer high quality and investors are showing increasing interest in the area.
