Soldier blog shutdown? Stryker diarist stops posting

Article Abstract:

A soldier with the Stryker brigade in Iraq who posted riveting online accounts of war in Iraq has apparently made his last post, resulting in a sudden closure of a Website that drew number of readers. CBFTW, the pseudonym of the online diarist feels that he was under threat of reprimand from his superiors and was lectured by his commanders for violations of operational security or OPSEC. The CBFTW's spokesman stated that a platoon sergeant and superior officer would review his blog entries before they were posted.

On Capitol Hill, Army procurement vision under scrutiny

Article Abstract:

Retired Col. Douglas Macgregor has criticized his formers leaders for taking the Army service down the wrong path in its transformation effort. He also attacked two of the Army's most cherished programs, Future Combat Systems and the Stryker armored vehicle and stated that the Army's reorganization is dangerous as it ignores the realities and future contingencies.

Arms control official calls for U.N. action on Iran

Article Abstract:

The State Department's top arms control official has called for the U.N. Security Council to consider sanctions against Iran over the Islamic republic's bid to develop nuclear weapons capabilities. It is observed that Iran has a twofold approach in acquiring nuclear weapons, one using highly enriched uranium, and another using plutonium.
