Space technology in developing nations: an assessment

Article Abstract:

Space technology can deal with several problems faced by the world, especially by the Third World countries. Developing countries such as India and China, have made tremendous advances in satellite technology. However most of the developing countries do not have access to sophisticated space technology which can be aid communication, education, weather forecast and remote sensing. World organizations such as the UN, FAO and the UNICEF must coordinate and regulate financial assistance to developing countries and allow access to space technology.

The Brazilian space program: a selective strategy for space development and business

Article Abstract:

Space missions which strategically harmonize Brazil's technical indigenous capabilities and its needs are essential for the welfare of its population. Significant investments have been made in space programs, infrastructure and human preparation in the last two decades. Therefore market oriented missions are necessary. Brazil's equatorial location can permit low cost missions having powerful application potential.
