Statistics for a composite distribution in anthropometric studies: The general case

Article Abstract:

A study expands on earlier research to find statistics for a composite distribution of two populations with known distributions. Formulae were developed for mean and standard deviations, while percentiles were determined by numerical solution and a computer program. An analytical solution was developed to find percentiles for normal distributions of populations. The computer program determined the statistics for composite populations, and the composite distribution cumulative distribution was defined.
