Brooks Service has a number of major hotels as clients for its linen renetal and laundry services, and earnings per share have risen by 192% in the four years to 1999. The company's core rental operations account for most of the profit. There is tight capacity in the market, which benefits Brooks. The retail side is involved in photo development services and dry cleaning, and has moved into profit from making a loss, with stores closed where they were reporting losses, and out-of-town sites opened.
