Time is running out for Redland

Article Abstract:

Redland's share price has dropped during the 1990s and this can be attributed both to market conditions and to internal factors. The acquisition of Steetley for 624 million pounds sterling in 1992 made Redland's cash flow problems more serious, and the company did not reduce its dividend until 1995. The company's share price could see an improvement. Redland has injected its European roof tile business into Braas, with Braas' management retaining control.
