Successful self-promotion

Article Abstract:

Successful self-promotion is a finely balanced personal art that must be exercised and practiced by executives for their achievements and expertise to stand out amid the business environment's emphasis on teamwork. Successful self-promotion involves gaining the attention of senior executives simply by the merits of the subordinate executive's works. At times, this requires some sensibility on the part of the subordinate executive, making sure that self-promotion does not in any way impinge on the activities of the senior executive or calling undue attention to other aspects of the subordinate's life.

Cross (purpose) dressing

Article Abstract:

The changing business trends has led to changes in styles in dressing in the workplace. When women entered the corporate level, female dressing shifted to trousers from typical skirts to imitate male business attire. Also, the concept of a "casual day," where teamwork is encouraged in the workplace, introduced informal attires even for managers in the office. Moreover, the casual style of technology entrepreneurs such as Bill Gates also appears to invite an indifferent attitude attitude towards grooming practices and formal dressing.
