Seeking rhyme and reason

Article Abstract:

Equity investment is often carried out on the basis that particular stocks appear attractive, and this can lead to a lack of overall strategy for portfolios. There is a need to reassess portfolios on a regular basis. Portfolios can become too focused on small industrial segments and vulnerable to single events. Portfolios can be assessed under three categories, growth portfolios, portfolios geared to producing an income, and speculative portfolios.
