TR European Growth is an investment trust which has Stephen Peak is its lead fund manager. The trust is geared to the European general sector and includes Kamps among its top 10 holdings. The trust uses a bottoms up investment style and valuation is also a concern for the managers. The trust has performed well since it was launched, though there were problems for smaller firms in 2nd half 1998 which created difficulties for the trust. The discount rating has improved with the strong performance of this trust.

Foreign and Colonial (F and C) has changed its corporate government policy following the sacking of the board of Brazilian Smaller Companies Trust (Brazit), after a stockholder protest. F and C has promised that independent boards will be set up for the investment trusts managed by the company. F and C effectively ran the board of Brazit, which it also managed. F and C employees will not be permitted to serve as board members for trusts managed by the company.
