How to Excel Using Telemarketing

Article Abstract:

Training the right people is directly related to the three variables involved in the telemarketing process: excellent communications skills, sales proficiency and absolute knowledge of the company^s products and services. Assessment of the telemarketing trainee in each of these areas can and must be done to insure the flexibility and accountability needed for the company to compete in the uncertainty of the market place.

Does Telemarketing Really Work?

Article Abstract:

In May of 1983, an operating telephone company, Illinois Consolidated, decided to test telemarketing against other means of marketing. The results of a multi- versus a single-message campaign showed that telemarketing follow-up more than quadrupled the sales.
