Thales, Boeing, QinetiQ team on UAV for MOD

Thales UK, the Boeing Co., and QinetiQ received a U.K. Ministry of Defence (MOD) contract for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) work. The MOD program is an example about how the military forces around the globe are turning to UAVs as a means of accomplishing missions without placing men and women in difficult situation.

Sikorsky Aircraft says Black Hawk deliveries to resume in a week

Article Abstract:

The company spokesman of Sikorsky Helicopter Corp. stated that the company expects to resume its delivery of H-60 series, Black Hawk and Seahawk helicopters. Plans are proposed to correct problems like leaky gearboxes and bolts with threads stripped away to rapidly get the Black Hawk program back on track.

Thermo-Electron, Inc. and VivoMetrics, Inc. are providing systems that can monitor first-responder and military personnel exposure to radiation and other threats. The system is worn below hazmat protective gear will monitor the vital signs of the personnel and help locate them in the event of a hazard.
