In the case of Brazas Sporting Arms Inc. v. American Empire Surplus Lines Insurance Co., Brazas sued American to get the insurer to defend it under its comprehensive general liability policy against a lawsuit claiming Brazas deliberately marketed more handguns than the legal market could absorb. American won the case.
