The motorway to Ostrava will be built by an Israeli firm

Article Abstract:

Housing & Construction (H&C) (Israel), construction firm, should start the construction of a motorway to Ostrava, the Czech Republic. The construction of the motorway with a length of 82 km should take five years. The investment costs on the construction should be CEK 39.4 bil. About 15% of the sum should be financed from the sources of H&C. The annual costs on the maintenance of the motorway will be CEK 1.6 bil. The planned annual instalment of the state will be CEK 2-2.5 bil. The investment's redemption period will be 25 years. H&C will provide the construction with capital and the know-how. The project's construction jobs will be ensured mainly by Czech firms.

The airport Ostrava-Mosnov has a chance to repair Boeings

Article Abstract:

Czech Republic: Companies from the UK and Iceland should build a CEK 400 mil repair plant for the aeroplanes Boeing 747 Jumbo-Jet at the airport Ostrava-Mosnov, the Czech Republic. A total of 250 employees should be employed at the plant, which should be built within the offset programmes of the consortium BAE Systems-Saab. The Czech Republic should receive further offsets worth about CEK 100 bil if it decides to buy the supersonic fighter aeroplanes Gripen.

A firm will take a loan for the motorway D47

Housing & Construction (Israel), construction firm, will probably start the construction of the motorway D47 in the Czech Republic in 2002. The investment costs on the construction of the section Lipnik-Ostrava with a length of 60 km will be about USD 1 bil. The firm wants to take a loan of about USD 850 mil from a consortium of international firms. The rest of the sum will be covered from the firm's own sources.
