The problem of unemployment in the European Union should involve a two-pronged solution. The solution should include a broad spectrum of supply side policies and the demand management policy. Aggregate demand should be expanded to boost both investment and employment. Supply side measures should be included to prevent an increase in inflation instead of employment resulting from the expansion in demand.
