Article Abstract:

The Australia's tourism industries failure in capitalizing on the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games is discussed. The tourism industry experienced the September 11 terrorist attacks of 2001, the Ansett failure, the Bali bombings, the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak and the Iraq war.

To catch a fraud

Article Abstract:

In Australia, the role of the auditor in detecting fraud has been extended. In 2002, the Australian AUS 210 audit standard was rewritten: auditors must now be extra vigilant when it comes to catching fraud.
