Toshiba Imaging Systems of Irvine, CA, has introduced four new digital cameras. The entry-level Toshiba PDR-M11 digital camera has 1.3-megapixel CCD and 1,280-by--960-pixel resolution. The Toshiba PDR-M21 has a 2.1- megapixel CCD sensor with 1,600-by-1,200-pixel resolution. The Toshiba PDR-M61 has a 1,792-by-1,200-pixel resolution sensor. Lastly, the Toshiba PDR-M65 has 2,048-by-1,536-pixel resolution, 38-114 mm equivalent zoom lens with micro-close-up focusing and five-mode automatic flash system.

The product is the only 100% neutrally integrated control negative available. JVC Company of America has launched two new 3,3-megapixel digital still cameras. The $999 GC-QX5HD and the $899 GC-QX3HD have similar features, including a 2.3X optical zoom lens with 2,032-by-1,536-pixel resolution CCD that offers interlaced output for 1080i HDTV receivers. Camera features include a 16 MB Smartmedia memory card, and input/output for USB, HDTV monitors, computers, video devices and printers.
