Treasury U

Article Abstract:

Academic societies and universities continue to be sources of new concepts in financial management and capital management despite the skepticism they have received from some treasury insiders. Academicians, who have been criticized for concentrating too much on theoretical aspects of problems, can be credited with developments in areas including pre-jump option pricing, Monte Carlo sequencing, and agency theory. Academic work, specifically on option pricing theory, can prove to be invaluable to electric utilities in addressing price unusual fluctuations.
