UK: JAM MARKET REVIVAL SOUGHT

Article Abstract:

James Robertsons & Sons believes that the UK jams and preserves market has the potential over the coming five years to boost its value by 10% and is urging retailers to take a fresh look at the market. The jams and preserves sector, which is worth GB[pound] 235mn at present, is diminishing, while research has discovered that the presentation of the products in-store confuses consumers. The market could capitalise on the association between spreads and bakery products such as bread, along with rice pudding and yellow fats.
