Article Abstract:

The acquisition by UK's Royal Navy of 65 US-manufactured Tomahawk missiles will lead to the enhancement of its warfighting capabilities. The purchase of the land-attack missile system, which has been test-fired by the submarine HMS Splendid, also signifies a further strengthening of the special relationship between the two allies. The Tomahawk missiles that UK is buying carries a 750-pound high explosive/incendiary warhead and has a range of over 1,000 miles.
