V-22 leaders see sharing contract with helos on CSAR-X

Article Abstract:

The US Air Force may split the helicopter contract for its CSAR-X combat search and rescue vehicle between competing aircraft according to a spokesman of Bell Helicopter Textron and the Boeing Company, proponents of the V-22 Osprey, one reason being that the V-22 Osprey is more expensive than the competing HH-47 from the Boeing Co. and Sikorsky Aircraft's S-92. The company spokesman elaborated upon the many advantages of the V-22 Osprey during the Air & Space Conference 2005.

Lockheed battles Northrop, Boeing for radio system work

Article Abstract:

The three major defense competing teams for the Airborne and Maritime/Fixed Station Joint Tactical Radio System Work are The Boeing Co., Lockheed Martin Corp. and Northrop Grumman Corp Northrop Grumman Corp . Following the victory of the Lockheed led team, a unit of Northrop Grumman Corp. called Northrop Grumman Space and Technology will build the radio systems.
