Volume autocorrelation, information, and investor trading

Article Abstract:

Whether the individual investors or institutional investors, who drives the daily correlated trading volume of stocks in the exchanges is examined in the New York Stock Exchange and American Stock Exchange. When the information flow is high the institutional trade generate more effect on the correlated trade volume.

What Determines the Domestic Bias and Foreign Bias? Evidence from Mutual Fund Equity Allocations Worldwide

Article Abstract:

Research suggests that domestic bias, or the influence of domestic investors on local markets, is driven by familiarity variables and stock market development. Foreign bias, or the influence of foreign investors on overseas markets, is driven by capital controls, tax variable withholding, and economic development.
