The loss of Komercni Banka grows

Komercni banka (KB) (Prague, Czech Republic), bank, saw a consolidated loss of CEK 221 mil in 2000, according to international accounting standards. The audited loss is CEK 69 mil higher compared to a loss according to preliminary results. The reason is the inclusion a higher tax liability for 2000. In 1999 KB saw a loss of CEK 9.289 bil. The bank's balance sum rose to CEK 409.09 bil in 2000 compared to CEK 396.2 bil in 1999.

Komercni Banka returned to profits

Article Abstract:

Komercni banka (Prague, Czech Republic), bank, generated a net profit of CEK 1.3 bil for 1Q 2001, according to international accounting standards. For 1Q 2000 the bank saw a loss of CEK 1 bil. Its operating profit amounted to CEK 2.55 bil for 1Q 2001 compared to CEK 2.38 bil for 1Q 2000. The bank's total assets amounted to CEK 401.7 bil in 1Q 2001 compared to CEK 377 bil in 1Q 2000.
