Repayment of debt lent to illegitimate and dictatorial regimes that do not use the funds for the welfare of the people and the country has become a serious concern globally. The advocates of the concept of eodious debtE believe that treasurers globally are apprehensive about lending even to a legitimate government with the fear that the government may later be proved as illegitimate.
