Invoice financing is described by experts as professional and innovative, as well as a valuable source of both funding and credit management expertise. Invoice discounting in particular is seeing a tremendous surge with 552% increase in turnover in a period of ten years, with more than 33,500 companies in the UK making use of invoice finance for both domestic and export markets.

Article Abstract:

A research from the BDO Stoy Hayward Centre for Family Business indicates that though 75 percent of companies are family owned and managed, fewer family businesses are being passed down the generations. Some of the major reasons behind the decisions are the 1990s recession, growing cost of pensions, and falling annuity rates.

Keeping R&D alive

The companies should be encouraged to increase their spending on research and development (R&D) that would be considered useful for the accountants. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) published its annual R&D scoreboard revealed that R&D spending leads to strong shareholder returns.
