Will others follow the Dibb-Alsop lead?

Article Abstract:

A merger between Dibb Lupton Broomhead and Alsop Wilkinson has created the biggest law firm in north west England. The two companies will combine their office in Manchester, England and the merger has given rise to speculation that other Manchester law firms are to merge. The market for law firms is expanding in Manchester and the Private Finance Initiative is one development that has helped fuel this expansion. Competition is also increasing and this merger reflects the intensity of competition.
